How to Find Out Quantity of Bricks in Building

In this construction video tutorial, the renowned engineer Sajid provides some useful tips on how to find out quantity of bricks in building.

Height of wall is 11 feet, length of wall is 14 feet and breadth of wall is 9 inches.

So, first we calculate volume for the wall.

Volume = L X B X H = 14 x 9/12 x 11 = 14 x 0.75 x 11 = 115.5 feet³

Now, we have to calculate quantity of bricks in the wall.

As per the formula, number of bricks with mortar = 1350/100 x 115.5 = 1559.25 = 1560 bricks  

Also, number of bricks without mortar = 1400/100 x 115.5 = 1617 bricks
