This is
another useful presentation by Parag Pal. In this video tutorial, he teaches
you how to rate analysis of first class Brickwork in CM 1:6 in Superstructure
Brick size 19 cm x 9 cm x 9 cm.
Size of
Brick: 19 cm x 9 cm x 9 cm
=
(0.19m x 0.09m x 0.09m) without mortar
The
nominal size of brick with mortar refers to 20 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm ( or 0.2m x
0.2m x 0.1m)
Considering
10m3 of volume of brickwork:
Step 1
- Calculation for quantity of materials:
a)
Volume of brick without mortar = 1.09m x 0.09m x 0.09m
=
0.001539 Cum
b)
Volume of brick without mortar = 0.2m x 0.1m x 0.1m
= 0.002
Cum
Step 1
- Quantity of each materials:
Quantity
of brick without wastage = 10/2 x 10-3 = 5000 nos.
Add 5%
bricks for wastage: 5/100 x 5000 = 250 nos.
Total
quantity of bricks with wastage - 5250 nos.
